Make your mark as Legal Counsel Dredging at Boskalis! You can play an important part of the development and management of large, complex and multidisciplinary dredging and infrastructural projects such as the development of Manilla International Airport in the Philippines, Duqm offloading jetty in Oman or widening the Suez channel in Egypt.

These are just examples of your potential future projects you could be working on as a Legal Counsel at Boskalis. You will contribute to the success of every project alongside your colleagues. As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice on complex legal issues and ensure that everything is in order contractually. Additionally, you will provide support in any legal proceedings that may arise. Within the division Dredging and Inland Infra, you are the go-to person for legal inquiries for management and project management teams of one of the business units within the Dredging & Inland Infra division.

Your responsibilities as Legal Counsel Dredging

• Advising and supporting on legal issues during tender process, including assessing tender documentation such as the proposed terms and conditions.
• Drafting and reviewing agreements related to cooperation, contracting, procurement, and chartering of vessels.
• Providing support in arbitration cases and legal proceedings.
• Providing legal support during contract negotiations and projects in the execution phase.
• Monitoring and following up on relevant developments in legislation and case law.

You can make your mark as Legal Counsel Dredging if you have:

• A Master degree in Law;
• At least 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in a role as legal counsel, lawyer, legal advisor, preferably within an international company;
• Knowledge of contract law and construction law;
• Strong communication skills and business oriented approach and you are a team player;
• Fluent language skills in English, Dutch language skills are a “nice to have”;
• Flexibility about travelling.

Extra information

• Your team: The Business Legal Team consists of more than 30 Legal Counsels world wide
• Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
• Full/part-time job: The position of function is a full-time (32-40 hours a week) job.
