JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee the testing strategy, planning, and execution for our SAP S/4HANA implementation and related projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and success of our IT transformation by leading the end-to-end testing lifecycle, coordinating with functional and technical teams, and managing stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for ERP projects including but not limited to SAP4Hana, including integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the total deployment landscape.
Team Leadership:
Co-ordinate a team of test analysts (onshore and offshore), ensuring effective test execution and timely delivery of project milestones.
Test Design & Execution:
Oversee the creation and review of test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business requirements and functional specifications.
Defect Management:
Manage defect lifecycle, including logging, prioritisation, tracking, and resolution in collaboration with development and functional teams.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for all testing activities, providing regular updates to project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with quality standards, best practices, and audit requirements throughout the testing process.
Tool Utilisation:
Utilise SAP testing tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, Tricentis Tosca) to manage test assets and reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies for future ERP projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Test Lead in large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades.
In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules, architecture, and business processes.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience in managing and mentoring test teams.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery models.
Experience with test automation tools is a plus.
ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
