JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a Global Treasury Controller to lead our treasury middle and back office operations and the Treasury Control Function ensuring financial risk mitigation, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

This role is integral to optimizing treasury processes, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making while fostering strong collaboration across finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk & Compliance:

    • Monitor and manage financial risks, including foreign exchange (FX) risk, interest rate risk, commodity and counterparty risk.
    • Support the development and execution of hedging strategies to mitigate market risk.
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead and assist in treasury-related audits, ensuring strong financial governance.
  • Financial Reporting & Process Improvement:

    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of treasury activities, including cash positions and debt status.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance treasury efficiency.
    • Optimize treasury management systems to ensure data accuracy and reporting effectiveness.
    • Automate and oversee journal entry processes related to cash, debt, and financial instruments.
    • Lead the Treasury Month End process
    • Contribution to Annual report preparation and completion
    • Assist in development of accounting guidelines as required and supports the implementation of these guidelines in the operating entities
    • Support Control activities for other treasury functions
  • Operational Process Control:

    • Drive standardization in accounting and operational process controls for treasury-related areas.
    • Enhance controls and control self-assessments to strengthen the control environment.
    • Ensure errors are minimized through a methodical and meticulous approach to work.
  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Work closely with finance teams, including Accounting, FP&A, and senior leadership, to provide treasury insights.
    • Support financial planning and decision-making through detailed treasury analysis.
    • Maintain strong communications with banks and other financial service providers.
    • Coordinate with other functions (legal, accounting) on the implementation of new regulatory requirements affecting treasury operations.
  • Qualifications & Skills required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or CTP preferred).
    • Extensive experience in treasury management, financial risk management, and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong understanding of financial instruments, FX risk, and treasury systems (e.g., SAP, Kyriba, Bloomberg).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
