About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs in Google’s warehousing/logistics/automation spaces to ensure a safe and compliant workplace with the focus on improvement. Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate and participate in assurance activities. Manage the compliance program and audit vendors for compliance to legal and Google EHS requirements.
  • Participate in engineering and innovation solutions to reduce risk in the supply chain operations.
  • Review incident investigations submitted by vendors and communicate learning/corrective and preventive actions across the business to prevent recurrence.
  • Partner with Supply Chain vendors to drive safety improvements and ensure their EHS performance meets the required standards and meet with stakeholders to communicate on performance and requirements.

Though Google has grown a lot since it opened in 1998, we still maintain a small company feel. At lunchtime, almost everyone eats in the office café, sitting at whatever table has an opening and enjoying conversations with Googlers from different teams. Our commitment to innovation depends on everyone being comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. Every employee is a hands-on contributor, and everyone wears several hats. Because we believe that each Googler is an equally important part of our success, no one hesitates to pose questions directly to anyone, at any level, in the company.
