About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the data center operational teams on the active implementation and maintenance of Google’s Environmental, Health and Safety Management System.
  • Support the active maintenance of the site’s Environmental related certifications (e.g., ISO 1400), and regulatory compliance (e.g., with the Seveso) directive and local permits.
  • Execute and manage site Environmental, Health and Safety compliance calendar tasks/requirements.
  • Engage frequently with colleagues and processes on the floor (e.g., regular safety walks with and without leadership stakeholders), toolbox talks, inspections, incident investigation and follow-up etc.
  • Organize and execute meetings, reports, trainings, and site plans (e.g., identify and assess operational Environmental, Health and Safety risks).

Though Google has grown a lot since it opened in 1998, we still maintain a small company feel. At lunchtime, almost everyone eats in the office café, sitting at whatever table has an opening and enjoying conversations with Googlers from different teams. Our commitment to innovation depends on everyone being comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. Every employee is a hands-on contributor, and everyone wears several hats. Because we believe that each Googler is an equally important part of our success, no one hesitates to pose questions directly to anyone, at any level, in the company.
