We are looking for a Senior Designer to join the ride in creating solutions to make things easy and efficient for our customers and employees.

You and your job

As a designer in the international business domain of Wholesale & Rural, you will be working on the digital transformation of a loan application process for our big international clients. Your main task will be to conceptualize, design and improve journeys for our business platforms.

You understand the needs and expectations of our international bankers and clients, and you are responsible for the creation of design concepts which are used in the complex financial workflows of a loan application process.

The designers in the global Wholesale and Rural Design Team are pioneering in an international environment to create delightful experiences for our clients worldwide and our global bankers internally. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of 8 designers responsible for the end-to-end experience of business customers and bank employees.

In a nutshell, you will...

• Drive the strategic direction for the Credit applications; research the user and usage – but also visualise, create, and iterate pixel-perfect designs on an operational level.
• Work in a small design team, led by a Lead Designer. You will meet weekly to check-in and have weekly design review sessions.
• Work with a product team within the business and have day-to-day interactions with the PO, BA, and developers - your home is the Chapter Design.

Your responsibilities 

• Work together with PO’s, BA’s and developers to translate business requirements into innovative concepts.
• Improve new and existing workflows and help us build scalable products.
• Apply the Rabobank design system during concept development and design new components to extend our library.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure a development process and a high-quality outcome.
• Work together with other designers and be responsible for all steps in the design process. If necessary, you involve other designers and specialists to help you with this.
• You see the challenge in working with complex user interfaces and you are both a structured strategic thinker and a creator of pixel-perfect designs.

Your talent

We are looking for a talented designer who can use creativity, problem-solving and communication skills to handle the complex context of a bank.

• You have 5-8 years of experience in UX design and confidently take responsibility and ownership of design projects.
• You have what’s needed to work in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn new skills and methodologies.
• You are a designer by heart but are experienced and confident performing user research tasks, such as user interviews and usability tests.
• You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, marketeers, and other stakeholders and able to manage these different perspectives and interests.
• You are fluent with design and prototyping tools like Figma, and familiar with ideation and user research methods.
• You have experience with delivering final designs and supporting the development teams to implement them.
• You can communicate professionally in English. Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.
