The Operations Academy team plays a crucial role in supporting the professional growth of our Operations workforce and acting as a strategic enabler to our growth ambitions. We design and execute initial onboarding and subsequent growth enablement programs with an operations focus, working in close collaboration with the company’s learning and development teams.

As the Team Lead, you will lead a small team to develop the strategy of the operations functional learning programs and execute against this. This will include design, management, and measurement of the program, ensuring a focus on the right things that enables Ops for today and the future and delivers a seamless learning experience.

As the leader of the academy you will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure relevance and value add in the content delivery. To be successful in this role your key skills are: strategic thinking, senior stakeholder management, creative thinking and a strong appetite to understand our business and specifically the nuance of Operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive and deliver the strategic priorities of operations, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders and learners through relevance in content and excellence in delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and provide strategic insights to support organizational growth and transformation.
  • Act as a key advisor on learning and development and engagement strategies within the Global Ops functions, ensuring alignment with business growth and operational excellence.
  • Manage comprehensive functional learning programs, leveraging operational expertise to drive engagement and effectiveness of a global team.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders from Learning & Development (L&D), Operations leadership, and other Adyen academies to align training initiatives with business objectives and strategic enablement.
  • Evaluate end to end employee learning needs, utilizing data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize program impact across operations.
  • Define, build, execute and measure the impact of the Ops Academy programs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement and oversee scalable training methodologies, integrating in-person and digital learning solutions to enhance accessibility and participation.

Who You Are

  • A collaborative leader, skilled at building strong relationships, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving strategic initiatives across global diverse teams.
  • Strong strategic skills and the ability to connect the bigger picture to smaller projects and get people excited about your story along the way.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, learning & development, preferably in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
  • Role modeling a growth mindset - biased towards execution and comfortable trying things out never done before.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing and implementing learning initiatives in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Deep understanding of learning & development principles, including program design, facilitation, and training strategy execution.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience leveraging performance metrics to enhance learning programs.
  • Background in Operations is a plus.
