Create strength calculations, procedures and reports for mainly pressure vessel internals for separation serving the oil and gas industry.
Provide advice and support on strength-related issues to the Separation Systems mechanical team and others.
Responsible for quality and on-time-delivery (OTD) of assigned tasks.
Understand and comply with TechnipFMC HSE & Quality policies.
Apply and comply with TechnipFMC separation systems standards, such as engineering rules (ER) and local work instructions (LWI).
Attend project kick-offs for projects requiring FEA analyses. Assess completeness of FEA scope description, identify and communicate any additional required information to the project team.
Transfer contractual FEA scope requirements to SMART work instructions, including any hold points, where applicable (either for internal or external, 3rd party use).
Keep up to date with current and technological advances in strength calculation techniques and state-of-the-art equipment.
Review and analyze project input (like specs, codes, drawings, and documents) and take the required actions.
Provide technical support to product development and R&D (research and development).
Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality control (QC).
Mentor and train other team members; engineers and designers based on job experience.
Advise and support in strength-related questions, within the mechanical engineering team, Separation Systems business unit, and towards the client.
Support, guide, and review Separation Systems engineering team members who provide support on the above strength calculation tasks.
Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering.
Separation Systems mechanical engineering experience.
Able to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
Able to read and understand client and industry specs and codes.
