Purpose of Role

In this role, you will support the Under Armour EMEA Culture and Teammate Experience function and the implementation of the organization's multi-year Culture and Teammate Experience strategy within the EMEA region, on all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, leadership development and retention.

Your primary focus will be to lead an employee relations program that includes investigations/complaints management and focuses on proactive initiatives driving improved employee experiences in both corporate and retail environments. In addition, you will also support specific Leadership development and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs within the EMEA region, contributing to build a skilled, diverse and inclusive teammate population that authentically represents UA's values.

Your Impact

  • Lead Investigations: in tight collaboration with relevant stakeholders, directly manage investigations, teammate complaints, and organizational concerns raised by teammates, with minimal oversight, except those involving executive leaders.
  • Drive Process/policies improvement: continuously enhance teammate relations processes, focusing on high-impact tasks that elevate culture and teammate experience.
  • Support Managers and HRBP: coach and support managers and HR Business Partners in executing action plans based on investigation results. Facilitate New Leader Acceleration workshops for foundational trust building in teams.
  • Support Leadership decision making for higher teammates’ engagement: through focus groups, culture checks, and workplace trends analysis, gathering feedback from onboarding to exit, and conducting qualitative and quantitative data driven diagnosis.
  • Conflict Resolution: can serve as a mediator and conduct conflict resolution sessions to address team dynamics.
  • Provide Expert Advice: offer expert counsel to leaders (Sr. Director and below) and HR Business Partners on best practices, policies, and employment laws, in partnership with the Company’s In-house Employment Counsel.
  • Implement Cross-Functional Projects: lead projects related to the Culture and Teammate Experience strategy, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and leadership development such as: cultural events, Employee Resource Groups coordination, DEI social media strategy, talent development, aimed at improving employees’ experience and engagement in both corporate and retail environments.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, active listening skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively influence and collaborate with peers and more senior teammates.
  • Proven ability to manage and/or appropriately escalate organizational issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate findings from data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep high level of confidentiality
  • Languages: English full proficiency + good proficiency in additional European language, with a preference for Dutch or Spanish.

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in Human resources in an HRBP or Employee Relations role.
  • Direct employee facing experience
  • Ideally, a first exposure to culture, DE&I and employees’ engagement programs or projects
  • Experience in retail environment is a plus.
  • EMEA legal employment knowledge a plus.
