As a software engineer at Qmulus, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to architect and develop our trading infrastructure from the ground up. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can take full ownership of our codebase, design and implement robust production infrastructure, and enhance our development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with our quant researchers and traders to deploy innovative trading strategies. 🚀

What you’ll do

• System Architecture: Design and develop the architecture for our trading systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Codebase Management: Take ownership of our existing codebase, continuously improving and optimizing it.
• Infrastructure Design: Build and maintain production infrastructure to support our trading operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with quant researchers and traders to translate their strategies into efficient, executable code.
• Development Lifecycle Enhancement: Enhance the software development lifecycle, implementing best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• System Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for our trading systems and tools, ensuring minimal downtime and quick issue resolution.

What you’ll need

• Education: An academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Financial Markets Affinity: A strong interest in and understanding of financial markets.
• Programming Skills: Expertise in Python; experience with C++ is a valuable addition.
• Trading Systems Experience: Prior experience with trading systems is essential.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, backtesting frameworks, and financial data is a plus.
• Best Practices: Knowledge of software design and development best practices.
• Operating Systems: Comfortable working with the Linux operating system.
• Team Player: An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility: The ability to work at least some days during US hours.
