Role description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on our team, you will:

• Design and develop all mechanical parts and assemblies, including optomechanics, mechanical sensor components, housings, and peripherals.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and medical experts to generate innovative solutions and concepts using diverse creative techniques.
• Assume full responsibility for all mechanical designs and drawings within the development team, ensuring adherence to quality, scheduling, and cost management requirements.
• Communicate and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers for quotations, troubleshooting, and supplier management.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical challenges and design risks, implementing proactive control measures.
• Be responsible to timely signal problems and adequately address these, implement improvements, involving other team members.

What we expect from you

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience leading development projects, taking ownership of the entire development cycle from concept to field deployment
• Proficiency in 3D solid modeling and simulation software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks)
• Experience in design for manufacturing, component testing (GD&T, machining)
• Experience in supplier management and establishing supply chains for components and assemblies
• Preferred experience working in a regulated industry, such as medical devices (MDR, ISO 13485, FDA), and with design documentation
• Excellent communication skills, both within a multidisciplinary team and with external suppliers
• A curious and analytical mindset, with a keen interest in understanding how things work and a fascination with the operating room environment
