ROLE PURPOSE

The Technical Concept Leader leads an engineering team to deliver FPSO Conceptual Design Reports to Clients, hand them over to PreFEED teams or Proposals Engineering teams and, if the project gets sanctioned, follows Execution design up to ensure the Conceptual basis / architecture is adhered to.

The Technical Concept Leader has the overall responsibility to:

• Review Client’s FPSO Scope of Work and Basis of Design
• Estimate Concept hours and Planning
• Develop Conceptual Design report coordinating Technical Authorities as Engineering Discipline Experts, other divisions for input and review (Installation, Operations, Supply Chain, Construction), dynamically steer the Concept definition to find gains for Clients and SBM by holding weekly meetings
• Provide all the necessary Technical Input to Proposals and Project Management Team for Cost and Schedule evaluations of all Cases and Options of the Concept defined
• Hand over to PreFEED or Proposals Engineering Teams
• Follow next phases of Execution at key reviews (Design, Hazid, Hazops...) to ensure Concept Architecture is adhered to and gather feedback when changes are needed to further improve future Concept Studies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• 10 to 15 years' experience in offshore industry FPSOs
• At least one project execution followed throughout
• Engineering Project Management or Multi discipline experience needed
• Team is already quite strong in Naval, Marine and Structure so Topsides discipline experience is a plus (Process / Meca / Elec / Safety…)
• Construction, Operation, Installation, Supply Chain experiences would be a plus
