Your job

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, with a major focus on backend (90%) and some frontend (10%), you will be a core member of one of our agile scrum teams. Your day-to-day tasks will include participating in daily scrum meetings, discussing the team's progress towards the sprint goal and developing new and existing features. Everything contributing to the strategic direction of our development projects.

Your role will focus predominantly on the development and enhancement of our backend services. It also involves exploring and mastering new technologies or frameworks, thus keeping you at the forefront of technological advancements. Moreover, as a senior member, you will play a crucial role in optimising, refactoring, and improving the existing code base. The Tikkie Full Stack Chapter organises an in-house conference meeting at least every quarter. Next to the work floor those meetings offer a platform for learning from colleagues and showcasing your own ideas and skills.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with micro-services architectures
  • Extensive experience with AWS (CloudFormation, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS & SQS)
  • Extensive experience or at least proficiency with JavaScript, Typescript, Java/Spring, NodeJS, and AWS CDK
  • Experience with CICD tooling, e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure Devops, is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills and active participation in meetings
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Eagerness to challenge the status quo and continuously learn new things
