Join AIHR as a Senior Graphic Designer

Do you see design as a product to generate results aligned to business objectives? Are you a champion for advancing marketing strategy by shaping and executing visuals across a variety of mediums for B2C and B2B audiences? Do you thrive on collaboration, feedback, and data, then apply it to iterate, test, and achieve the highest impact on each channel? If you answered yes, AIHR is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer just like you.

About AIHR

Founded in 2016 with the mission to future-proof HR, the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR) has become the world’s market leader in online training for human resources (HR) professionals. We have a global customer base spread across 140+ countries, amongst which companies like Unilever, Reckitt, Goldman Sachs, Philips, Deloitte, Nike, Heineken, and UBS. It is our goal to continuously upskill and empower 1,000,000 HR Professionals.

We are an international team of 90+ people, driven by excellence, innovation, and a hunger to grow in everything we do. As such, we strive to provide the world’s best courses and excellent support to our customers while continuously optimizing every aspect of our work. With over 30 nationalities, our team is diverse, yet we all share a few traits: we're friendly, enthusiastic, and great team players.

Being a fast-growing company, working at AIHR means taking on a lot of responsibility and getting countless opportunities to develop yourself in new areas and potential to craft your own role.

Role and Responsibilities

As our Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for blending creativity with functionality to deliver results-oriented designs that engage and convert. Using a solid understanding of design thinking processes and principles, you will help drive best practices in storytelling and ensure consistent branding across visual assets.

Content is the foundation of our marketing strategy in growing audience engagement, improving brand presence, building trust, and developing relationships that result in conversions. Our goal is to build on our success and continue to command attention, convey relevance, and motivate clicks at every stage of the funnel. And this is why we need you.

As the marketing Senior Graphic Designer at AIHR, you will use your skills and expertise to continue building and improving our unique and identifiable voice and style across visual assets and distribution channels. You will have the opportunity to guide and support channel owners on what compelling visual assets look like.

You will be part of AIHR’s supportive, creative, and ambitious marketing department, consisting of Content Marketing and Performance Marketing. You will report to the Head of Content Marketing and become part of a quickly growing Content Marketing function.

In this role, you will:

  • Help us level up our brand experience to drive more traffic, leads, and customers through fresh, impactful designs that stand out and get clicks;
  • Conceptualize and design templates and documents, sales collateral, social media graphics, email templates, content marketing assets, tradeshow booth materials, digital ads, and other B2C and B2B collateral;
  • Serve as strategic advisor with a focus on elevating our visual identity, supporting leadership in brand thinking, evolving the brand standards, and ensuring consistency and adherence to brand style in all design work;
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to understand project requirements and establish efficient workflows with the team;
  • Proactively assist the broader marketing team in improving design performance across distribution channels;
  • Take a results-driven and functional approach, prioritizing performance and engagement over aesthetics;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging tools and technologies to continuously improve the design process.

On a typical day

Your Monday at Rotterdam HQ starts with coffee and a creative brief for a new B2B guide. You dive into research, looking at past performance, competitor tactics, and industry trends. You come across a cool study showing a 3x boost in ROA when using an author’s image instead of graphics. Excited, you share this with Performance Marketing and suggest testing a fresh look across organic and paid channels.

By lunchtime, you’re catching up with colleagues over a delicious meal from chef Rik. In the afternoon, you meet with leadership to discuss brand identity concepts. You’re eager for feedback on your proposal, which includes updated visuals, iconography, and data elements—plus a competitive analysis highlighting ways to strengthen brand recognition.

Tuesday, you team up with Product Marketing on a new product launch. Reviewing the pitch deck, audience insights, and positioning ideas sparks inspiration, and you jot down key questions to fine-tune design choices.

Wednesday and Thursday are work-from-home days, perfect for focusing on mockups. You’re prepping for the B2B Marketing Meeting and brainstorming sales enablement assets for an upcoming conference. Instead of printed brochures, you propose interactive digital assets to boost engagement, track results in real time, and drive more conversions.

Friday kicks off with a quarterly planning workshop. Your manager, Kym, Head of Content Marketing, walks through OKR progress, campaign wins, and top-performing funnels. A lively brainstorming session leads to new A/B test ideas aimed at boosting conversions by 3% next quarter.

After wrapping up, you join the company-wide update from the founders, celebrating milestones and big-picture goals. It’s been a busy week, so you stick around for the social—grabbing food and drinks with colleagues and unwinding with friends from across the company.

Who you are

We're looking for a strategic and customer-centric Senior Graphic Designer with a proven track record of creating effective, results-driven designs. You’re an expert in the brand and creative space and translate messaging into impactful, original designs that communicate the brand vision and solve practical problems. You are collaborative, organized, pragmatic about feedback, and motivated to get things done. You also have:

  • 5+ years in graphic design with strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects;
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.);
  • Strong understanding of design processes and principles with excellent design skills;
  • Comfortable working independently with limited direction;
  • Demonstrated success in brand and product marketing experiences, integrated campaigns, and product launches;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a clear sense of priorities;
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a willingness to mentor channel owners in design principles;
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering performance-based, high-quality work;
  • Fluent in English;
  • B2B design experience within marketing agency, or service-related corporate or scale-up environment preferred;
  • Extra points: You have both B2B and B2C SaaS experience.

We offer

  • A key role in shaping the education of tens of thousands of Human Resource professionals from all over the world through our courses
  • Competitive, benchmarked compensation;
  • The opportunity to shape your own day-to-day work;
  • Regular growth talks and support to reach your career goals;

  • A key role in a fast-growing scale-up company;
  • A beautiful office right across Rotterdam Central Station (Milleniumtower) and a brand new office in Amsterdam;
  • 26 paid holidays per year + 1 extra day for every year you work here + you can exchange any 2 public holiday days for 2 other days of your choice;
  • Pension plan;
  • 5 Mental health days per year;
  • Access to OpenUp mental health platform;
  • Personal development budget, training, and we pay for the books you read;
  • All public transport expenses covered (NS Business Card);
  • MacBook + all other equipment you need to do your work;
  • Daily lunch prepared by a chef, weekly drinks, and fun team activities;
