For our Tech-Department in Doetinchem, we are currently looking for a skilled Development Manager to take our tech team to the next level.

As the Development Manager of the Tech Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of web developers within our organization. Your team develops and maintains proprietary software that is essential to our business operations. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, with a strong focus on security and data protection.

Your responsibilities

• Lead a team of web developers;
• Manage and prioritize technical projects and resources;
• Communicate project progress and results to stakeholders and senior management;
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness;
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team;
• Oversee code quality and ensure it meets technical standards and business requirements;
• Implement testing strategies to ensure software reliability and stability;
• Integrate security practices into the development process to ensure software safety and data protection compliance;
• Act as the main point of contact between the technical department and other organizational departments.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role;
• Preferably knowledgeable in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js;
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, PHP, and Laravel;
• Experience with cloud technologies and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
