The internship

Are you a student in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field looking to turn knowledge into action? This internship in Head-Office Business Control offers you hands-on experience in financial analysis, process optimization, and cross-departmental collaboration, giving you the tools to shape your future career in a dynamic, corporate environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Analyse data to provide actionable insights for key decision-making processes.
• Work on projects such as improving financial dashboards, streamlining workflows, or contributing to strategic cost-control initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance and Business Control teams, as well as stakeholders across departments.

The department

As a Financial Controller Global Finance, we are responsible for the financial profit and loss line of the global finance department, this role gives you an amazing overview how the financial backbone of a multinational operates. Within this role and other projects, you get the chance to meet a lot of new people and interact with many stakeholders

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 February 2025
• The internship is fulltime
• The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
• It is a practice-oriented internship
• You will be based in Amsterdam
• During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup (3 days office)
• You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week (when you start at the 1st of January 2025).
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

• Wo education preferred
• Interest and affinity with finance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerBi, accounting and financial reporting is a benefit

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
4. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
