Your responsibilities

In this strategic and varied role, you will use your expertise in communications for some of our internal activities across various functions. As the internal communications expert, you will provide advice and guidance to help teams communicate about our key company themes and strategic initiatives. In our efforts to enhance organisational communication, you will connect and engage a global community of people managers, empowering them through effective and targeted communication. By fostering a strong belief in our people, you will enable and advise them on the best ways to communicate with their teams. Furthermore, you will lead the way in developing impactful initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver relevant and professionally produced content that inspires and engages our employees. This will include our monthly talk events and internal podcast series. In promoting a sense of community and company pride, you will build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to understand their needs, translate these into effective communication strategies, and work together to create concrete deliverables.

As the internal communications expert, you will drive continuous improvement and professionalise our internal communications. Your role will involve enhancing communication practices, ensuring they are effective, innovative, and aligned with our strategic goals.

About the team

You will join our team of enthusiastic professionals in the Marketing and Communications department. They are responsible for Vanderlande’s positioning and profiling at a corporate level, as well as marketing communications, employer branding, internal and online communications.

You will be an integral part of this proactive team and report to the Manager Internal Communications. Through your work, you will also connect with the wider Vanderlande family, consisting of 9,000 colleagues across the globe.

Your qualifications and skills

As a forward-thinking communications specialist in this dynamic sector of our business, you will excel at:

• Creating and managing an integrated approach to communications
• Working on an advisory basis across various levels of the organisation
• Translating complex content into meaningful and engaging language
• Generating and driving dynamic communications for various target audiences

To be eligible for this rewarding role, you must have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications
• An excellent knowledge of internal and external communication channels
• At least eight to ten years’ relevant experience in a global business environment
• Ability to advise and convince
• Fluency in both English and Dutch
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A confident, proactive approach, as well as a positive “can-do” attitude

Depending on your knowledge and experience, this position offers a competitive salary range of €4.600 to €6.100 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the opportunity to go beyond this scale.
