Area Sales Manager Turkey Travel Retail

What this role is about? Area Sales Manager Turkey Travel Retail is responsible for the implementation of trade marketing activities set by JTI for the assigned territory (and communication with the field force - where applicable). Establishes close business relationships with the trade and plays an active role in the implementation of consumer & trade marketing programs as well as manages in close relationship with all functions within regional M&S teams the implementation of consumer & trade marketing programs and monitor implementation KPIs, and competitive activity. Moreover, the Area Sales Manager contributes to and implements (key) account plans and agreements and monitors (key) account compliance checks. In this position, you will also report findings to Regional Sales Manager and relevant Marketing & Sales teams. What will you do?
  • Effectively implement JTI trade marketing strategies and through-the-line marketing strategies including merchandising, shelf-space, and promotional programs as defined by the central and regional M&S team. Monitor implementation progress, as well as the quality of materials used and recommend corrective action where necessary
  • Gather field intelligence data through provided sales force automation tool
  • Plan input, executional KPI monitoring, and reporting results to the Regional Sales Manager, including, but not exclusive, volume, pricing, stock management, and brand listings
  • Direct and indirect customers' interface and trade relationship management
  • Rolling forecast, LE, AP and SP input and plans for the assigned territory
  • Market/Area budget planning and budget utilization in an effective and compliant manner
What are we looking for?
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales & distribution / channel management / field trade marketing
  • Experience in consumer/trade promotions management, preferably within FMCG/Travel Retail industry with Key Account Management experience

Cross cultural experience is an advantage, Cross functional experience is an advantage, Travel retail experience would be an asset

  • Trade Segmentation, Merchandizing Management or Key Account Management experience
  • Proficiency within logistics and order management area
  • Distributor management, Total pricing and trade margins management
  • Data gathering and KPI monitoring / reporting abilities
  • Strong negotiation skills as well as external environment knowledge (taxation, trade pricing, corporate affairs)
  • Fluency in Turkish language is a must
