To achieve this, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented M&A Associate to support our M&A initiatives, assist in strategic partnerships, and contribute to the expansion of our presence across multiple regions and industries.

Overview:

As an M&A Associate, you will assist the M&A team throughout the entire M&A process, from deal sourcing to post-acquisition integration, ensuring that each transaction aligns with Kiwa’s long-term objectives. You will contribute to identifying new market opportunities, conducting financial and strategic analyses, and supporting the negotiation and structuring of deals. This role offers a solid foundation for developing skills in corporate finance and M&A while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research & Analysis: Assist in identifying potential acquisition targets by conducting market research and initial screenings. Analyze financial statements, market data, and industry trends to support the development of target profiles.
  • Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process by gathering and organizing necessary documents, conducting preliminary financial analyses, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure comprehensive evaluations.
  • Project Assistance: Provide support in managing M&A projects, including preparing meeting materials, tracking project timelines, and ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders.
  • Valuation Support: Assist in building and updating financial models (e.g., DCF, LBO) to help assess the value of potential acquisition targets.
  • Market Monitoring: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and provide actionable insights to the M&A team.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations that summarize key findings from market research and analyses, helping to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Strategic Research: Contribute to strategic planning by researching potential markets and analyzing the competitive landscape. Assist in identifying risks and opportunities related to various strategic initiatives.

Responsabilities:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance advisory, investment banking, or a related field. Experience from internships or entry-level roles will be considered.
  • Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling with strong Excel skills. Familiarity with other financial tools and databases is a plus.
  • Language: Fluent in English, with proficiency in other languages such as Dutch, Spanish, German, or French being a plus.
  • Attributes: Analytical thinker with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally when required.
  • Location: Based in the Netherlands and eligible to work in the country without the need for visa sponsorship.

Qualifications:

At Kiwa, we provide a dynamic and supportive work environment where your contributions directly impact our company’s growth. You’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting M&A projects, while honing essential skills in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. We offer an attractive remuneration package, continuous career development opportunities, and a balanced hybrid working model, 60% in our Rijswijk office and 40% from home.
