HAL solely invests its own (family) capital, a proposition that allows us to focus on long term value creation without pre-defined exit strategies. Our unique investment strategy has given us the opportunity to add significant long term value to our investments, some of which have been in our portfolio for over 25 years.

Our commitment to long term value creation has resulted in a versatile portfolio with companies that have leading positions in various industries across the world, including Europe as well as emerging markets such as Latin America, India, Turkey and China. Our portfolio includes large interests in listed companies such as Boskalis, Vopak, SBM Offshore and GrandVision. Furthermore, we have majority interests in leading businesses such as FD Mediagroep (media), Koninklijke Ahrend (office furniture), Atlas (offshore staffing), Coolblue (online retail) and many more.

All year round we are looking for outstanding academic graduates (top 3%) to strengthen our investment team.
