Lead and coach a group of solution architects located in three countries: the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary. As we go through a big architectural transition from monolith to microservices, we need your enthusiasm, knowledge and experience to get our enterprise architecture team to a higher level and make TOPdesk’s architecture future-proof.
You understand customer and business needs, by keeping a close eye on the market, and company goals. Based on requirements and input, you and your fellow enterprise architect develop a vision and a clear target architecture that supports our business value. With your team, you’ll fill in the details of this target architecture, considering the research’s requirements and boundary conditions. You’ll also collaborate with an external consultancy bureau to help us mature our architecture capability in general.
You help product managers understand and integrate the architecture roadmap into their product roadmap. Together, you strike the appropriate balance between delivering functional components on the one hand and technology and architecture on the other.
Finally, you’ll explain and communicate the architecture to the rest of the company, particularly the Product & Development department that realizes your plans. You therefore have excellent communication skills and know how to talk with different (non) tech roles.
You’ll become part of our international enterprise architecture team in the Netherlands (Delft and Tilburg) and Germany (Kaiserslautern), but you can also choose to work from our Hungarian office in Budapest. The team now consists of three other enterprise architects spread over the Netherlands and Germany.
As explained above, you’ll lead a group of solution architects, and coach them in decision making, covering the various technical and functional domains and work closely with product managers and TOPdesk developers.
