Global Communications Internship

In this work experience placement, you will work together with 2 comms professionals who manage the ABN AMRO Clearing brand. Your work will include, amongst others, rebranding and managing the intranet, project support, stakeholder management, and designing communications material. Your Job

What You Will Learn:

• You will become familiar with our international organization and global way of working.
• You will learn to set up global projects and programs.
• You will help structure, set up, and deploy communications.
• You will learn to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders.

Your Daily Tasks Include:

• Project management for multiple projects including SharePoint/intranet and website renewal.
• Engaging with stakeholders to ensure projects and processes run smoothly, taking over SPOC meetings with stakeholders.
• Drafting and/or editing content for intranet, website, and socials.
• Create communication plans.
• Involvement in the start of the Annual Report.
• Maintain the communications calendar and group mailboxes (website and intranet).

Your Working Environment

You will be working in the ABN AMRO HQ in Amsterdam. ABN AMRO Clearing Bank, as a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank, is at the cornerstone of global financial markets. In banking, Clearing denotes all activities from the time a stock is bought or sold on an exchange until it is settled. ABN AMRO Clearing acts as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges these clients trade on, guaranteeing that the transaction takes place (like a notary when you buy a house). As a clearing bank, we process around 20 million transactions a day. We do so for professional traders, investment managers, and large corporates.

You will be joining the Global Corporate Communications team, which is part of the Corporate Office, a multidisciplinary team, consisting of the Global Corporate Secretariat, Global Corporate Communications, Global Regulatory Affairs, and the Client Contracting Unit.

Your Profile

• You are preferably an applied sciences (HBO) or Bachelor student enrolled at a Dutch educational institution.
• You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
• Your study covers Corporate Communications, MarCom - Digital Media with an interest in Service Design and Customer Experience.
• You can work with Office, Teams, CMS systems, etc.
• You can start in October/November.
• You are available for a period of 5 to 6 months.

Furthermore:

• Fluent in Dutch and English (both oral and written).
• Eager to learn, decisive, shows initiative, and does not hesitate to take responsibility.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Strong eye for detail and the capability to work autonomously.
• Strong organizational skills.
