Product Matrix Creation

More than 1000 variants of cable harnesses exist on our truck. To keep track of the pricing of these components, a product matrix needs to be created. This involves first inventorying the complete landscape of harnesses, classifying connectors, cables, and more, and including the provided cost breakdowns. In a second step, a cross-analysis of the price setup of these configurations has to be completed, leading to a final matrix for pricing and an overview of mismatches/outliers.

Objective

• Analyse & evaluate existing harnesses' cost breakdown.
• Develop a product matrix for all configurations.
• Set up a standard for pricing.
• Identify mismatches/outliers within the current portfolio.

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with the following skill set:

• Proactive & analytical skills;
• English proficiency;
• Excel (including programming) and IT knowledge.

Department

The work at the Department of Purchasing takes place in an international, challenging and inspiring environment. Within The Electric & Elctronics Purchasing group, components are sourced for the entire truck (engine, chassis and cabin). This position is focusing on cable harness components.

Correctly managing relationships with our suppliers is essential for our continuing success as a truck manufacturer. Purchasing has a strategic and crucial role in the acquisition of competitive products and services.
