We are searching for a deputy lab manager to support the lab alongside performing routine analysis. The role will be part of a small team within a fast-paced, dynamic laboratory performing ELISA and PCR analysis on food and food ingredients.

Your key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
• Perform the workload to meet the Quality standards of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.
• Perform analysis by ELISA and PCR to the requirement of the customer.
• Take lead in continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, enhancing standard work methodologies, and conducting root cause analysis to drive process enhancements.
• Take responsibility of the Analytical service lab in the absence of the Lab manager.
• Answer customer requests by email and phone.

You bring

• A degree in a science-related field from a college or university.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting, ideally using ELISA or PCR techniques.
• Understanding of safety, quality and lab requirements to the ISO 17025 requirements.
• Proven experience in conducting internal and external audits.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility and a willingness to assist with a variety of tasks as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
