You will be working with the Board of Management, senior management of the different segments and all teams within the Corporate Center (such as Strategy, Treasury, M&A, Control, Legal, Regulatory & Public Affairs, HR and Corporate Communication). The work involves high impact and the direct contacts with analysts and investors demand great care.

Role specific activities:

  • Contributing to IR responsibilities in being intermediary between KPN and the international financial markets;
  • Selfstanding interaction and building effective relationships with financial markets participants: particularly European equity research analysts and our global investor base (equity and fixed income);
  • Initiating and carrying out projects that have a direct impact on the communication with the financial markets and therefore the share price;
  • Flawless execution of quarterly publications, including presentations, press releases, factsheets, and any supporting materials;
  • Organizing and preparing communication materials for successful roadshows, conferences, strategy updates, Capital Markets Days, and General Meetings of Shareholders;
  • Lead the analysis of current and potential institutional ownership of the company’s stock and create an investor targeting plan to optimize the shareholder base;
  • Providing information and reporting on the development of KPN’s share price and the telecom sector performance;
  • Providing input on group strategy based on capital markets insights;
  • Delivering an outside-in perspective of the international financial markets and the European telecoms sector to KPN’s senior management;
  • Becoming a trusted advisor for KPN’s Board of Management, particularly the CEO (Joost Farwerck) and CFO (Chris Figee) for strategic decision making;
  • Contributing ideas and preparing internal/external presentations for the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board on relevant topics;
  • Advising and guiding members of the Board of Management in their contact with existing and potential new shareholders and equity research analysts; and
  • Maintaining strong internal relationships with Corporate Communication, M&A, Treasury

This is a great opportunity to take on an exciting Investor Relations role in a dynamic industry. Working in a small, enthusiastic and committed team and reporting to the Head of IR (who reports directly to the CFO), the Senior Investor Relations Officer will play a key role in facilitating the delivery of an effective investor relations function, providing clear and transparent communication of KPN’s strategy and business performance to the financial markets.

Location: hybrid working model, on average split 40:60 Office (Amsterdam, Rotterdam) & Home.

  • University degree and related work experience: 7+ years in investment banking, equity research, consulting or related role; experience with financial markets is required, understanding of the telecom industry is a plus;
  • Featuring a mature character with solid personal opinions, able to act as sparring partner for the Board of Management and have in-depth discussions with very experienced and highly educated investors and analysts;
  • Help share overall IR and financial markets communication strategy; you have the ability to process large amounts of complex information quickly, and the ability to identify important key messages effeciently and present them concisely;
  • Stress-resistant, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong eye for detail;
  • Self-starter, ambitious and team-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently;
  • Strong relationship and networking skills;
  • Critical thinking: asks relevant questions and is persistant;
  • Excellent (fluent) verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Willingness to travel.

  • A gross monthly salary ranging from a minimum of €5775 to a maximum of €9125, depending on your work experience, based on 37 hours per week.
  • A variable bonus scheme of 9% corresponding to scale 13.
  • Flexible working hours up to 40 hours per week, which can add up to 8.5% to your gross salary.
  • An allowance of 10.5% of your gross monthly salary (including 8% holiday pay).
  • Annual individual and collective salary increases in accordance with our CAO.

  • A travel allowance for commuting: such as our bicycle allowance of €0.40 per kilometer, or €0.23 per kilometer, or full reimbursement for 2nd class public transport. Additionally, you receive a €10 per month internet allowance and a home office allowance of €2.15 per day.
  • Excellent pension conditions: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary, with KPN contributing 16% and you contributing 7%.
