Senior AWS ETL Developer

As a Barclays Senior AWS ETL Developer, you will form part of a team comprising of more than 10 people and will focus on Technical Deliveries using AWS ETL Solution. You should comprehend business requirement and converting into technical artefacts and you will contribute in Designing /development/enhancement as per the application roadmap. In this role, it is expected for you to do the solution designing based on the overall Architecture of the applications under development.

What will you be doing?

Designing at application or infrastructure level that enables you to resolve complex business issues with a simple and cost effective technology based solution

Working with analysts, architects and designers to comprehend the architecture vision and functional/ technical requirements and creating solution designs

Co-ordinating between build team / testing teams,/ supporting teams where needed during delivery

Involving in AWS Glue / DBT application development, testing and production implementation

Creating Technical Specification for work undertaken

Reviewing & auditing of various codes and design patterns to meet RFT technology standards

Tracking and reporting of progress and performance of project deliverables w.r.t. technical deliveries, including those performed by third parties under contract

What we’re looking for:

AWS ETL Development hands on experience

Sound knowledge of Amazon services like S3 / Athena / Step Function / Lake Formation / Service Catalog

Knowledge in Hadoop technologies, such as HDFS/Hive/Impala and knowledge of scripting language / RDBMS and SQL

Experience in jobs scheduling tools like Tivoli or Event Bridge or air flow and knowledge of coding best practice and experience of code optimization to speed processes

Skills that will help you in the role:

Hands-on experience and very good knowledge on AWS – Glue / DBT

Good grasp of Hadoop, Python, Shell Scripting

Excellent working knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture

Knowledge of AWS and cloud solutions, AWS certification is desirable
