General merchandise, fashion and food retail companies need to be flexible in handling the levels of orders, fulfil online orders and store deliveries, and cope with a lack of available workforce. Such companies continuously improve their supply chains and invest in innovative technologies. Vanderlande understands the complexities associated with operating a successful warehouse operation and delivers future proof logistic process automation. These automation systems are composed of many (electro-)mechanical and IT components, built by teams in various parts of the world and must be integrated with other (software) systems to support the processes of our customers. To successfully integrate these systems we expect the Test/Integration Engineer to carry out the following tasks:

  • Draw up test designs based on risk analysis, a test plan and system requirements.
  • You implement test cases and scripts based on test design, prepare the test execution and build and configure the test environment. Tests range from functional manual tests to complex performance scenarios that run for multiple days.
  • The programming of stubs/drivers and setting up the test-tooling.
  • You independently execute the integration-, system- and acceptation tests (factory as well as site). You also analyze and report the test results, (production) problems and verify solutions.

About the team

The Solution Design and Integration department is part of the business unit Warehousing within Vanderlande Industries and is responsible for the system design, testing and integration of complex Warehousing systems. Customers include Nike, Walmart, Albert Heijn and H&M.

We integrate multi-disciplinary sub-systems into a solution. This is especially challenging for large and complex warehouses consisting for example of automatic storage and retrieval systems, automatic guided vehicles, palletizing and picking robots, conveyors, warehouse management- and control software and IT infrastructure. As an Integration Engineer you report to the Integration Manager.
