Join our central Agile Chapter team as a Central Agile Lead

Join our central Agile Chapter team as a Central Agile Lead, where you’ll shape how agile ways of working evolve across our TechNL organization. This is a newly created role with broad, cross-platform impact.

In this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, coaching Agile folks in our clusters, driving cross-platform transformation initiatives, and developing the standards, playbooks, and capability-building programs that raise our collective maturity. You report directly to the Agile Chapter Lead and play a key role in building Engineering Excellence across TechNL.

This is how you will reinvent food retail.

  • You are a strategic coach and thought leader who inspires Agile Leads and teams across multiple platforms. You influence without direct authority and build trust through deep expertise and authentic engagement.
  • You design and lead cross-platform transformation initiatives that drive measurable improvement in delivery effectiveness, DevSecOps maturity, and engineering culture at organizational scale.
  • You develop and maintain agile standards, playbooks, and capability-building programs that create consistency across platforms while respecting local context and autonomy.
  • You navigate complex stakeholder landscapes by aligning perspectives between Platform Leads, Tech Leadership, and cluster Agile Coaches to ensure coherent ways of working across the organization.
  • You coach and develop Agile Coaches in their professional growth, helping them mature their facilitation, coaching, and leadership skills to elevate the teams they support.
  • You actively contribute to the broader agile community, sharing knowledge, challenging conventional thinking, and staying at the forefront of agile and DevSecOps practices.

As a Central Agile Lead, you are part of the Agile chapter team, a cross-platform team that drives excellence across TechNL. You work closely with Agile Leads embedded in clusters, Platform Leads, and Engineering Managers to connect delivery practices with organizational strategy.

The recipe for maximum impact

  • 5–8 years of experience in agile coaching or agile leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading cross-team or cross-platform initiatives
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps, modern engineering practices, and multiple agile and scaling frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, or similar)
  • Proven ability to influence without authority: coaching senior stakeholders, aligning diverse perspectives, and driving change across organizational boundaries
  • Strong background in software engineering or a technical discipline, enabling you to engage credibly in engineering discussions and challenge teams constructively
  • Experience developing standards, playbooks, and capability-building programs that scale agile practices across a large engineering organization
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dutch is a strong plus

Bonus points for:

  • Advanced coaching certifications (ICP-ACC, PSM III, or equivalent) and/or scaling framework certifications
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with Obeya as a lean/agile management practice
  • Experience in organizational design or large-scale agile transformations in a DevSecOps context
