Sustainability Reporting Specialist

This Is What Your Role Looks Like

You will be part of the Sustainability department at Basic-Fit and play your part advancing our sustainability strategy in close contact with our internal and external stakeholders. From the annual report to ESG indices and benchmarking, you will be producing robust, timely and verifiable information for reporting and decision-making.

In this multidisciplinary function, you have a hands-on position dealing with other supporting departments (e.g., Investor Relations, Energy, Product, Internal Control and Risk Management). You will report directly to the Sustainability Reporting Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

• Coordinate GHG emissions data collection across internal teams and business partners, maintaining a strong relationship with them and keeping databases updated

• Perform data quality controls and analysis, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audit-readiness

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our carbon accounting methodologies and the development of a climate change transition plan

• Support implementation and upkeeping of ESG data management platforms

• Coordinate submission to specific sustainability assessments or questionnaires (e.g. MSCI, CDP, investors assessments)

• Draft qualitative content to enhance communication of sustainability matters internally and externally

• Monitor ESG regulations or frameworks (e.g., CSRD, GHG Protocol, SBTi, EU Taxonomy), assessing their impact on business operations and supporting internal teams in fulfilling new requirements

Who Are You?

A self-starter who is keen on improving frameworks and processes. Your communication and social skills allow you to collaborate with the different departments throughout the organisation. You are driven and keen to deliver an excellent performance.

Furthermore, we ask:

• A relevant bachelor/master degree, such as in sustainability, business control, sustainability assurance (HBO/WO)

• 3+ years of experience in corporate reporting, sustainability, carbon accounting, or related

• Strong affinity with sustainability and working knowledge of ESG reporting standards

• Good communication skills in English (Dutch, French and/or Spanish is a plus)

• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to produce high-quality reports with both strong and accurate qualitative and quantitative information
