ESG Accounting and Reporting Specialist

As CSRD Reporting Specialist you ensure accurate, transparent, and timely ESG reporting processes and disclosures aligned with CSRD requirements, supporting our sustainability strategy.

We’re looking for a reporting specialist who can play a crucial role in implementing CSRD and can develop a well-governed reporting process for our sustainability KPI's.
FrieslandCampina will comply with CSRD for the first time in 2027. In line with our Sustainability Strategy we acknowledge the importance of a well-governed ESG reporting process. To accelerate the implementation, and to further improve our reporting processes, we extend our Sustainability Finance team with this new role.

As a CSRD Reporting Specialist, you are an effective professional that can work in a fast-changing environment. You can collaborate constructively with other functional departments and the corporate sustainability team.

Furthermore, this role requires:

• A strong background in external reporting (e.g. chartered accountant), preferably with experience in a large company setting (5 years+ experience).
• Familiar with ESG frameworks and regulatory requirements like CSRD.
• Proven track record to translate reporting requirements into a pragmatic approach for internal stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (internal + external)
• Ability to drive progress in a complex organization, specifically to improve reporting processes and procedures
• Ability to keep oversight combined with eye for detail
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Experience with ESG reporting tools
• Proficient in both Dutch and English

• Salary between €4,500 and €6,300 per month, depending on knowledge and experience (full-time);
• Full-time workweek of 38 hours, 5% year-end bonus, 10% bonus, and a pension;

Reporting & Compliance

• A major deliverable each year is the sustainability statements, as part of the Annual Report. You will play a crucial role in coordinating the process to prepare the sustainability statements, aligning it with our sustainability strategy and ensure it is compliant with CSRD.
• As ESG regulations are still changing, you will monitor emerging ESG regulations and reporting trends and ensure these are applied in a pragmatic way.
• As part of both internal and external reporting, you will consolidate ESG-data from internal departments and validate data accuracy and completeness.
• Recommend and drive process improvements for data collection and reporting efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication

• You will collaborate with finance, sustainability, and functional departments to align ESG reporting with corporate objectives.
• You will support external assurance processes and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
• You will prepare ESG-reports for senior management.

Project support – liaison role

• You will support the implementation of ESG consolidation tooling

You will be part of the Sustainability Finance team, consisting of three colleagues. The team is part of Corporate Accounting & Reporting and based in Amersfoort. The Sustainability Finance team cooperates daily with functional experts in the field of sustainability topics, like climate, nature, nutrition, social, governance, data/IT and finance.
