Waarom Brand New Day?
- Een enthousiast en gedreven team om je heen dat vooruit wil
- Een informele organisatie zonder politiek of hiërarchisch geneuzel
- Goede bereikbaarheid op loopafstand van station Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA
Do you get energized by turning complex rules into clear plans? Are you the one who keeps people aligned, deliveries on track and quality high—without making things feel heavy? Great. We’re looking for a Regulatory Data Delivery Lead who makes sure our regulatory data is delivered on time, audit-ready, and getting better every quarter. And enjoys doing that together with a bunch of smart, friendly people.
What will you do as Regulatory Data Delivery Lead?
You’ll join our Data & AI team in Amsterdam. We are a growing group of data engineers, analysts and AI folks who like to build valuable things, keep it practical, and help each other out. We work hybrid—some days in the office, some days from home.
You take full ownership of the quarterly delivery of new and existing regulatory and risk datasets, lead cross-team initiatives from requirement definition through to execution, and maintain a well-prioritized Jira backlog with clear requirements and consistent semantics. You uphold strong governance, thorough documentation, and audit readiness, while continuously expanding and improving the regulatory data product through a focused roadmap and disciplined scope management.
Your key activities and responsibilities:
- Run the quarterly regulatory data delivery cycle. Starting with two loan-based datasets, growing to about eight over time. You make sure the data lands on time and consistently in our gold layer, with clear sign-offs from Finance, Risk and Balance Sheet Management (BSM).
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery. You bring together Finance, Risk, BSM, Investment Management and Data Engineering. You slice work into small, shippable pieces, track dependencies and risks, and keep delivery moving.
- Translate requirements into data clarity. Finance owns the regulatory definitions. You translate those into crisp data requirements and field definitions, using BIRD semantics (which you’ll learn on the job) and keeping bronze/silver/gold layers clear.
- Guard governance and documentation. You keep definitions, metadata, lineage and documentation up-to-date so our regulatory data is always audit-ready. Together with Finance, you propose KPIs and SLAs for quality and delivery.
- Lead the professionalization towards a true regulatory data product. You build the roadmap, help expand the scope, and drive continuous improvement.
- Once the domain is stable, you’ll grow into Data Product Owner for Regulatory Data—owning the product end-to-end.
What you’ll receive from us:
- A pleasant salary and pension accrual on top.
- 25 vacation days + 1 extra day off for celebration!
- The option to work from home two days per week and a week remote (two weeks for expats).
- Training budget of €1,000 per year to stay up to date in your field.
- €25 per month benefit budget for 1,001 fun or useful things (via Alleo).
- Every week a fully catered lunch at the company’s expense. On other days, you’ll need to arrange your own, but no worries. We’re right next to the Amsterdamse Poort, so you’ll have plenty of choices.
- The opportunity to meet the team in Thailand
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who brings structure and calm to regulatory chaos and is the dependable person others trust to land the plane each quarter. You spot risks early, escalate in time to keep momentum, communicate clearly with both Finance and engineering, and naturally connect dots across teams and interests.
We don’t expect you to tick every box. But if most of these feel like you, we’d love to meet you.
- 5-7 years of IT project management experience, preferably in data-driven environments
- A track record of delivering under tight deadlines—without dropping the ball on quality
- Experience coordinating both business and technical teams
- A good understanding of data flows, definitions and data quality concepts
- Strong communication and facilitation skills—you make the complex feel clear
- You’re structured, dependable and proactive
- Experience in financial services, ideally regulatory reporting (familiarity with EBA, ECB, DNB, BCBS 239, AnaCredit etc.)
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with regulatory software like OneSumX
- Exposure to BIRD or similar data modelling (or the curiosity to learn it quickly)
- Familiarity with data engineering environments (you won’t build them, but you’ll work closely with people who do)
- Experience with agile delivery or product ownership
