As Product Line Specialist, you’ll be responsible for planning and overseeing the creation of seasonal product collections and ensuring that each release is in line with the seasonal calendar, consumer needs, merchandising requirements, and financial targets.

Our perfect fit.

You are a team player, good and effective communicator and willing to go the extra mile. You don’t mind taking responsibility, but delegating and managing comes naturally to you. You are analytical and numbers minded, but working with people is also your forte.

Does this sound like you?

  • You’re passionate. You love sport and the products that make it possible.
  • You’re commercially aware. You have a good understanding of the business and industry.

  • You’re a problem solver. You’re solutions-driven in every aspect of your work.

How you’ll help us.

Based at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam and reporting to the Senior Product Line Manager, you’ll:

  • Manage the seasonal product lifecycle of the specified categories and oversee the creation of the line through key calendar milestones – design reviews, material selection, prototype reviews and sample review meetings.
  • Be jointly accountable for achieving seasonal gross margin % targets, for recommending suggested retail prices, and for setting target free on board (FOB) costs.
  • Manage data management within the product lifecycle management (PLM) system and take accountability for master data readiness before go-to-market.
  • Collaborate with creation teams (Design, Development, Sourcing, Materials, etc.) to develop and test products within the allocated deadlines.
  • Connect with regional and country merchandising teams to get buy-in into seasonal product plans and to get insight into relevant market trends and price points.

More about you.

  • 5-6 years of experience in product management, preferably in sporting goods industry.
  • Great project management skills, able to multi-task and work on multiple seasons simultaneously.
  • Advanced analytical skills and comfortable working with numbers.
  • Sense of trend and design in the performance sports or lifestyle industry.
  • An understanding of consumer behaviour and how to translate their needs into product benefits.
  • Master of the English language with clear communication and presentation skills.

How we’ll help you.

We’ve always believed in the positive benefits of movement on the body, and the mind. It’s why we’re called ASICS which stands for ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’, or a Sound Mind in a Sound Body. Our founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka, saw that sport had the power to lift spirits, project positivity and propel people and whole communities forward. We still believe this. Which is why all of us are committed to supporting more people to move for body, and for mind.
