Protecting Rabobank and its customers by ensuring Economic Sanctions risks in client files are assessed and mitigated according to internal procedures and regulatory obligations, in line with the Bank’s Risk Appetite.

You & Your Role

As a senior analyst of the ESM W&R Team, you will work on complex sanctions cases and signals for FEC Wholesale & Rural (FEC W&R) and its clients. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality of the investigations and the team, coaching other team members and coordinating with FEC W&R and other stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to closely collaborate with FEC W&R and contribute to the broader FEC Strategy.

Practical Examples

  • Act as a subject matter expert for complex cases and sanctions issues.
  • Proactively assess the impact of new policies and contribute to policy improvement proposals.
  • Make meaningful contributions to the team goals by actively contributing to multidisciplinary and team meetings and by constructively challenging the team leads and managers.

Top 3 Responsibilities

  • Independently handle the most complex sanctions files.
  • Coach other analysts within the team.
  • Act as a content expert and take responsibility for maintaining the quality within the team. In doing so, you help creating an environment that promotes positive communication and motivation.

Together We Achieve More Than Alone

We are curious about what you will add to our team at Economic Sanctions Monitoring.

“As a senior analyst in ESM, you work in a dynamic environment with global regulatory changes and geopolitical shifts. By combining sharp analytical skills with sanctions knowledge and collaboration, we can ensure compliance and safeguard our customers.”

You & Your Talent

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with complex sanction cases preferably.
  • Experience with guiding and coaching analysts.
  • Concrete substantive FEC knowledge and experience, in-depth knowledge of primary banking processes and systems and a solid understanding of W&R.
  • Advanced knowledge of sanctions regulations, policies, and procedures. An accredited counter reader for complex sanctions files or similar is preferable.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.

Next to that you need to be able to anticipate and adapt quickly to change, encourage others and stimulate cooperation.
