Risk Control Partner

As (junior) Risk Control Partner, you play a proactive role in identifying risks, designing and testing key controls within the CHRO domain. You will contribute to periodic reporting with respect to the status and progress of the monitoring year plan of CHRO.

You & your role

You will among others be responsible for testing key controls in accordance with the monitoring year plan. Professional judgement and “substance over form thinking” is a key skill which is needed for this role. The outcomes will be discussed with a senior colleague of Risk management, the Risk owners within CHRO and other relevant stakeholders.

Within this role you will help to ensure the CHRO domain remains in control. This also means that you will contribute in identifying key risk and key controls in relation to material changes.

As Risk Control Partner A, you will be involved with senior colleagues in revising the Risk Control Framework and testing controls in new ways. With your judgement you are able to conclude what the effect of the outcomes is on the risk assessments (dynamic risk management cycle). As a result you will perform risk assessments during the year to make sure the risk profile is up to date.

Furthermore, you will play an active role (hands on) with respect to the monitoring and reporting of Identified Staf. This is an important topic within the Risk Management team, where activities can be divided into conducting a Quality Assurance review, including reporting to the Managing Board, and performing day‑to‑day control activities.

Examples from practice

• You proactively identify risks within the CHRO domain and in relation to material changes.
• You test key controls and determine the impact on key risks using your professional judgement.
• You prepare quarterly monitoring plan reports.
• You will assist during the Quality Assurance review and perform day-to-day control activities.

• Coordinate risk stakeholders effectively, ensuring alignment across CHRO functions and facilitating clear communication to support consistent monitoring practices.
• Develop learning insights for improved control testing, translating outcomes into actionable recommendations that enhance the broader risk management cycle.
• Promote continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize monitoring processes and raising risk awareness across stakeholders.

You & your talent

Risk knowledge, Customer focus, collaboration, judgment & decision-making and persuasiveness (story telling) are clearly essential for this role. In addition, it's important that you recognize yourself in the competences and knowledge below:

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) or higher
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in Risk management
• Stakeholder management skills
• Emotional intelligence is a highly developed skill
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be a good team player
• Ability to inspire and enthuse others through presentations and personal impact
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch
