IT Solution Architect

As IT Solution Architect you are the thought leader in creating seamlessly integrated software solutions. You support our business in translating business and technical requirements to integrated application platforms. We are looking for someone who is able to take ownership to conceptualizing and describing in detail application solutions and our evolving application landscape. In this role you will report to the Head of IT Portfolio and Project Management. You will be advisor in our European region. You will be in touch with various and diverse stakeholders on different levels within our company.

As part of your job, you are involved in a multitude of projects and activities. You support the selection process of a best fit IT solution. During the implementation of such a solution, you guide colleagues and implementation partners to ensure that solutions integrate well with our existing IT ecosystem. By considering latest application developments you provide technical guidance and support to business stakeholders and technical support teams with regards to new releases and enabling new functionality, security and regulatory compliance, and maintenance support and lifecycle management. To ensure that this is well documented and information is shared across our Business Units throughout Europe, you will lead a process for documenting our application landscape and create standards for designing and maintaining an integrated IT solution.

Within Refresco no day is the same. You will be exposed to different levels of seniority, different functions, throughout our Business Units in European, as well as with our (potential) external IT sourcing partners. You foster a strong interest in technological developments, are able to translate these developments and business requirements into sustainable and integrated software solutions, and are eager and energized to lead both business key users and our technologists to convert problems into tangible solutions. You are able to act and operate in an agile way and to establish a strong internal network.

About the role: IT Solution Architect

The tasks and responsibilities are:

• Follow trends and developments with regards to our IT ecosystem and disruptive technologies
• Translate trends and developments in recommendations on properly maintaining and improving our landscape
• Lead in defining and documenting architectural principles and guidelines
• Ensure proper documentation of our application landscape and solutions
• Act as an internal consultant to support the translation of business, regulatory and technical requirements to (domain) solutions and our (integrated) application landscape
• Be the gradian of standardization and operational excellence in technology as this best meets our business model

About you

We are looking for an IT professional who flourishes in a conceptually challenging role. We are looking for an expert with the following background:

• You have at least a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of working experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
• Experience with the latest SAP Technologies
• Experience with Cloud Technologies such as: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with low code platforms (like Mendix)
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools (like LeanIX).
• Excellent proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• You have strong analytical and communication skills.
• You are easily able to create documents to explain and detail technological developments, application landscape, and solution designs.
• You enjoy both working independently as well as being part of a team.
