Internship - Data Scientist

Join the Periodicity Team at this pivotal moment to help shape the new forecasting model! Gain hands-on experience in advanced forecasting and ML, boosting your expertise for data science careers. You are encouraged to explore everything from traditional statistical time-series models to state-of-the-art models to find the best fit for this challenge.

At the Periodicity team, we enrich transaction data by uncovering the periodic patterns behind recurring customer behaviour. Recently, we’ve embarked on an exciting new product initiative: forecasting the next transaction for each customer.

Examples of projects/tasks

• Contribute to the design and development of the forecasting model.
• Investigate and benchmark multiple ML models against different business requirements.
• Deliver production code together with the end-to-end team of fellow Data Scientists and ML engineers assisted by a business analyst, scrum master, and a dedicated product manager.
• Propose and discuss innovative ideas with your team.

You & your talent

• BCs degree and MSc study in Data Science, Econometrics or Mathematics
• Experience in timeseries modelling is a plus
• Experience with Python, PySpark and Git (Azure Databricks experience is a plus)
• Having already completed a Data Science internship is a plus
• Curious and eager to learn
• Structured, precise, communicative, can work well with different people and roles, pro-active, have a business focus, and can-do mentality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
