How do you make our customers happy?

By ensuring 47,000 partners deliver every order our 13.7 million customers place on time and without worries. As the Strategy Lead for Partner Logistics, you oversee and develop the logistics services portfolio, translating ambitions and challenges into strategic decisions and scalable solutions. Within this broad portfolio, you focus specifically on the “direct from partner to customer” flow (Network Direct), addressing evolving partner needs while providing certainty for customers. With your strategic vision and execution power, you elevate our logistics propositions to ever-higher levels.

Balancing competing priorities: partners want flexibility and low cost, customers crave speed and reliability, logistics prioritizes efficiency, and the entire organization strives for growth. You’ll need to reconcile these tensions through data-driven decision-making while keeping senior stakeholders aligned. Your skillful combination of strategic thinking and hands-on implementation sets you apart, as you transition effortlessly between boardroom discussions and operational experiments.

What you'll do

You join the Logistics via bol (LSvb) Proposition team, which is responsible for all logistics services for our 47,000 partners. You work closely with the Head of LSvb Propositions, proposition developers, and cross-functional teams across Logistics, Strategy, Product, Tech, and Marketing. Together you maximize our impact for customers, partners, and bol.

You operate at the intersection of strategy and execution. Not only do you develop our future logistics portfolio by identifying opportunities, building business cases, and guiding strategic decisions, but you also optimize the current performance of Network Direct by analyzing data, understanding partner needs, and driving improvements. You tackle complex issues, such as upgrading propositions and improving partner delivery performance, while balancing quick wins with long-term ambitions. Senior management relies on you as a sparring partner to discuss current and future logistics solutions. You proactively align stakeholders across the organization and lead cross-functional projects from concept to implementation.

  • Ensuring the future readiness and competitiveness of our logistics services portfolio
  • Proposing insightful, compelling, data-driven business cases
  • Guiding strategic decision-making and managing alignment with senior stakeholders
  • Monitoring and improving Network Direct performance through data analysis
  • Leading end-to-end, complex, cross-functional strategy and implementation projects
  • Serving as the expertise center for logistics propositions and Network Direct

With a master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, business development, or a similar field, you approach complex issues analytically and deliver projects successfully. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and never lose sight of your objectives. You leverage data to convince, experiments to learn, and stakeholder input to sharpen your thinking. While affinity with logistics is a plus, a firm understanding of platform business models is essential.
