We are seeking a Product Qualification Specialist to join our Technical Development/R&D team based in Eemnes, Netherlands.

About this role

Job purpose

Taking care of the article management of Barentz’s private label portfolio. Approval of new Principals and products via quality management system; Contact with business partners, Principals, and customers; Technical and quality support to internal and external partners; Dealing with internal and external complaints; Achieving project goals.

Critical results

Creating added value for the Barentz business by managing the private label portfolio.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Test & evaluate application possibilities of existing and new ingredients/solutions.
• Report of test results and projects verbally and in writing (English).
• Collect information/documentation from new and existing Principals and products.
• Convert Principal information/documentation to private label information/documentation.
• Initiate and manage the approval process of new products.
• Initiate and manage changes to existing products.
• Check compliance with quality standards and European and global regulations.
• Keep Principals and private label product information/documentation up to date.
• Support Principals where necessary.
• Handling customer requests and complaints.
• Liaise with others within the product development department regarding new ingredients and developments.
• Provides product portfolio analyses and reports to management for support of decision-making.
• Develops systems to support dynamic portfolio management.
• Serves a key role in the portfolio evaluation process.
• Drives initiatives across functions, quality, sales, and development units to create fully integrated strategies.
• Monitors and reports on portfolio status and proactively addresses and resolves issues.

About you

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in food technology/science.
• Multiple years of experience in quality and/or regulatory management.
• Language: English and preferably Dutch.
• Food ingredient knowledge.
• Product Development knowledge.
• Affinity with the blend/single market.
• Customer-driven innovation.
