As Position Manager (early career) you are part of the Portfolio Optimization team, an expert team with professionals in portfolio management, long-term trading and deal structuring. As Position Manager, you are developing risk-reducing strategies based on thorough analysis of data from the energy environment around us and generalizing the findings into strategies and tools. To do this, we determine which power, gas, and certificate products are the best portfolio fit, and we also contract special products such as gas storage and weather derivatives, in coordination with our colleagues in E.ON Energy Markets.

Taking the next step in energy can only be done by working together and taking ownership. In your position as Position Manager, together with the team, you work on topics such as:

• Position management
• Analysis and development of innovative strategies to mitigate portfolio risks as well and cost-efficiently as possible
• Signaling the need to change pricing strategy tools, analyzing the impact of trends, and participating in multi-disciplinary projects within the team to improve tools that support trader decisions
• Working internationally with colleagues in other countries

You have a strong desire to learn and develop your skills, are open to feedback, and like to work hands-on with other team members and stakeholders. You recognize yourself in the following:

• Up to 2 years’ experience in trading, market risk management, or a similar field
• Proven commercial attitude
• Innovative and creative: you dare to question existing processes regularly and challenge the status quo
• Four days a week, you’ll enjoy working from our office environment

In this role, you have a high commercial drive with a talent for extracting opportunities in the international energy markets and spotting trends in fundamental market development. You are a strong team player, sharing knowledge, sparring and challenging on concepts and ideas, and interacting in a responsive and encouraging way.

You also have strong accountability, being prepared to take timely decisions without all information being available and taking responsibility for both positive and negative consequences of your decisions. Finally, you have a change orientation: you envision digital developments and solutions and actively support the digital transformation of processes and structures.
