Function positioning

This position is designed to support the development of new transaction banking business from large corporates with a head office or regional treasury centre in Europe. The primary focus is on assisting Transaction Banking Sales Consultants in managing their portfolio of clients and prospects. The scope of support includes trade finance and working capital solutions, as well as cash & liquidity management, and network business development.

The role includes the following:

  • Supporting Transaction Banking (TB) sales consultants in their day-to-day business development and client relationship management activities
  • Managing sales administration, including drafting and registering call reports, maintaining the pitch material repository, and ensuring appropriate internal approvals
  • Coordinating the annual account planning process and facilitating quarterly pulse checks
  • Customizing pre-approved TB sales pitchbooks and proposals ahead of client visits/calls
  • Preparing deal screening revenue projections and supporting narratives
  • Assisting sales consultants with working capital analysis
  • Monitoring trade finance credit facility utilization and ROE% in line with the RWA model
  • Coordinating responses to RFPs and RFIs
  • Facilitating cross-regional sales pipeline meetings and recording meeting minutes
  • Providing support for internal and external TB events and client outreach activities

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Work Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience as an account manager in Coverage or Transaction Banking sales at a leading global commercial bank
  • Basic understanding of Transaction Banking products and services, including liquidity management, cash management, trade finance, and working capital solutions
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, financial modelling, and credit risk
  • Extensive knowledge of building presentations in and use of PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Experience with collecting financial performance data from annual reports and other public sources

Functional/Technical Skills and Knowledge requirements:

  • Basic understanding of financial markets, corporate banking dynamics, and evolving needs of transaction banking clients
  • Basic understanding of ICC rules and their practical application
  • Basic understanding of cash & liquidity management services
  • Basic understanding of trade documentation, including multijurisdictional processing
  • Knowledge of AML, sanctions, and TBML requirements in cross-border transactions
  • Proficient in Trade Finance Sales digital solutions and eUCP processes
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and conduct basic financial modelling
  • Awareness of relevant EU regulations and compliance requirements in TB
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare call reports, RFP responses, sales pitchbooks, and effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in English, knowledge of German or French is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
  • Ability to navigate complex environments and collaborate effectively within a team setting

Additional information:
