About the Business Course

As a student or recent graduate, you dive into the world of Damen through a whole new experience with the Damen Business Course (DBC). We invite you to explore every aspect of our company, the solutions we offer, and the innovations we want to bring to the industry. All this, in just three days!

The program

• Day 1: Get to know the other participants and Damen at our yard, discover the world of shipbuilding and maritime solutions.
• Day 2: Dive into the first case study and learn more about the innovations we see today through interactive presentations. Get a chance to network with the professionals of Damen in a spectacular environment.
• Day 3: Make an impact with your findings, present your ideas and learn from each other. You may discover a new part of yourself as a young professional.

What do we offer

Hands-on experience with real world challenges through case studies and workshops. Learn from industry experts, with Damen employees and guest speakers taking you on a journey through maritime innovations. Network and build your career through various activities, and most of all, explore and enjoy the maritime industry.

Skills & Experience

• We are looking for students who have recently graduated or are about to graduate, with a main focus on Engineering and Finance, as these are the primary roles we are currently looking to develop within our team.
• If you have a different background, do not hesitate to apply with your motivation letter, as we tailor the program to the attendees.
• The ability to solve problems is one of the aspects we dive into during the DBC. Do not be afraid to think outside the box!
• Teamwork and communication are essential, as working together is an integral part of the culture within Damen.
• Accommodation in the Netherlands is required. This program is hosted in the Netherlands, and due to its duration, we do not accept international applicants who do not have housing arranged in the Netherlands.

Key dates

• You can sign up for the business course until the 31st of March. After this, we will select candidates and invite you to our Selection Day, organized on the 24th of April, to determine the participants.
• The actual DBC days are from the 20th to the 22nd of May.
