Graduation Internship - IAM Consultancy

As a Consultancy Intern at SITS | Traxion, you will support our Business Consultancy team with a relevant and impactful assignment in the field of Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Internship projects:

• ⚙️Access Control models: Access control models such as Role-Based (RBAC), Attribute-Based (ABAC), and newer approaches like Context-Based Access Control (together called XBAC), are at the core of secure and compliant Identity & Access Management (IAM). Yet, there is still debate in the industry about their definitions, applications, and implementation methods.

  In this internship, you’ll conduct a comparative analysis of RBAC, ABAC, and XBAC. The goal is to clarify their differences, strengths, and processes while also exploring how they align with emerging technologies like AI and machine learning. Your work will help identify which models are best positioned for future adaptability.

• 💡Mapping IAM compliance: Organizations rely on international standards and frameworks to structure their IAM and Information Security practices. While many exist (ISO/IEC 24760 - Identity Management, ISO/IEC 29115 - Entity Authentication Assurance, ISO/IEC 29146 - Access Management, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and ITIL) there is no clear overview that connects them to specific project types and stakeholders.

  In this internship, you’ll map these standards and frameworks onto our portfolio. The goal is to create a practical model and advisory guide for our consultants that links best practices to the right contexts and demonstrates how they enhance quality and consistency. You’ll also test the model in a case study to validate its applicability in real projects.

Who Are We Looking For?

• You are currently completing your final study year in the Netherlands (preferably a Bachelors in a field related to Information Technology).
• Passion for/interest in furthering knowledge in the Information Security domain.
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team.
• Positive mindset and willingness to collaborate with others.
• Keen to continuously improve themselves.
• Good proficiency in English.
• Fluent proficiency in Dutch.
