With over 4.7 million members across Europe and ambitious growth ahead, we’re looking for a proactive freelance PR & Communications Manager to strengthen our brand voice and reputation across all markets.

You’ll join our Brand & Communications team, reporting to the Head of Brand & Communications, and work closely with Marketing, CSR, and our in-house Studio. Together, you’ll build a brand people love and trust, one that inspires, connects, and creates real-world impact.

Your Mission

You’ll shape how Basic-Fit shows up in the world not just through press, but through powerful stories, bold activations, and strategic visibility. This is a role that gives you the space to experiment, drive initiatives, and scale your impact across Europe.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and evolve our PR strategy across Europe, coordinating local PR agencies and aligning with brand goals
• Craft and pitch compelling stories, press releases, and media kits that reflect our mission and tone of voice
• Spot and activate earned media opportunities that bring our brand to life in relevant, creative ways
• Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists, influencers, agencies and key stakeholders
• Turn media insights into smarter strategies measuring what matters and shifting fast when needed
• Define and track KPIs to evaluate and continuously improve communication impact
• Contribute to thought leadership, CSR, and sponsorship storytelling that position Basic-Fit as a positive force in society
• Support local teams with PR guidance, assets, and activation plans that ensure consistency and impact

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, PR, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PR (agency or in-house)
• Strong understanding of both traditional and digital media
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills in English and Dutch
• A natural relationship builder with great interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, can-do attitude
• Organized, creative, and detail-oriented
• Experience with CMS or CRM tools is a plus
• Part-time availability (32 hours)
