Job Purpose/Role:

As a Senior Expert in Claims Management, you will directly contribute to the execution of the global strategic agenda for Claims within Allianz Direct. Reporting to the Claims Technical Manager, you will work to drive impact in key areas of claims effectiveness, including recovery and recourse collection, fraud, and cost-effective claims management across the AZ Direct markets.

You have a deep understanding of KPIs within the claims function of an insurance business and will collaborate with operational leaders, experts in the markets, and business analysts to drive actions and initiatives that have measurable impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support a culture of claims technical excellence across AZ Direct markets, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness goals are implemented in line with the company strategic agenda.
  • Collaborate with business analytics, operational units and other stakeholders to lead and execute initiatives within area of responsibility, measuring impact and reporting on outcomes achieved. Particular focus on Recovery/Recourse management, fraud prevention, inflation mitigation and cost-effective claims management activities.
  • Support analysis on KPIs and trends, including any insights on results and identify where remediation action is required to improve performance.
  • Stay up to date on the latest claims management trends and best practices that apply to digital transformation in the insurance industry.

Qualifications/Key skills:

  • A proven track record for delivering on initiatives and measurable impact in claims management that bring value to the organization, particularly in claims Technical Excellence (TEX) areas
  • Demonstrated ability to steer projects and initiatives within set timelines
  • High level of analytical skills to make good, timely, data driven strategic decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong stakeholder management across different cultures and areas of the organization including management
  • Takes ownership and shows initiative, leads by example
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for technology-based innovation
  • Customer obsessed
