Are you ready to propel and support the growth of our highly skilled and engaged agile team members, working in the forefront of digital technology development at the Vanderlande Digital Service Platform? Do you possess a rare combination of technical insight, strong communication skills and the ability to mentor people to do and become their best? You just might have found your dream job!

Your position

You will be mentoring and guiding a group of individual agile team members, supporting their personal and technical growth. While our self-steering teams and community approaches focus on the development of strong multi-disciplinary teams, the Group Leader is dedicated to the personal development and well-being of our individual employees.

You will be involved in hiring new talent, supporting their onboarding to the self-steering teams, and mentoring them throughout the year to ensure continuous growth. As a line manager, you will build strong relationships with each of your direct reports, ensuring they remain motivated and ready to take on their next challenges.

Additionally, you will use your experience to coach multiple teams on the Agile mindset and DevOps principles.

Your department

The Digital Service Platform (DSP) is part of the Vanderlande Technology Department. The DSP transforms operational data into operational insight and builds an advanced digital product portfolio that expands on the existing product portfolio for our Airport, Warehouse, and Distribution customers. We work for and co-create with key players in multiple markets around the globe. The DSP is home to a very diverse group of data-driven specialists, ranging from Data Scientists to UX Designers and from Data Engineers to DevOps Engineers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day care for the work well-being of each of your entrusted direct reports.
  • Facilitate the yearly performance and growth cycle, setting and communicating Vanderlande and DSP goals/targets, and defining the community contribution expected from each individual.
  • Support the creation of personal development plans and encourage the definition of reachable and challenging personal growth ambitions.
  • Conduct monthly mentoring sessions to maintain clarity on well-being and progress, allow regular feedback, and foster strong relationships.
  • Coach the Agile Mindset within DSP and act as an Agile ambassador towards colleagues and customers.
  • Support our guild and community efforts to foster community-driven continuous learning, sharing, and growth that makes our agile development community thrive.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Your qualifications and skills

  • You are energetic and people-oriented.
  • You love technology and thrive in fast-paced digital R&D environments.
  • You are passionate about supporting and empowering others to do and be their best.
  • You have multiple years of experience working at the forefront of modern data and cloud-driven development projects. Potential fitting previous roles include Senior/Lead Developer/Tester/DevOps, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and/or Chapter Lead.
  • You have experience training and mentoring others and have demonstrated success in helping them continuously improve. Proven training and certifications in coaching and mentoring are a plus.
  • You take pride in the collective and individual success of your direct reports, our department, and Vanderlande.
  • You are a smart self-starter with a pragmatic mindset and proactive spirit.
  • You write and speak fluent English.
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant working experience.

What we offer

In this challenging and responsible position, you will have the chance to make a significant contribution to industry-leading projects and be connected to our dedicated people and customers. We offer a position in an informal, international, and professional working environment with ample scope for personal development. By joining our profitable and growing company, you will be able to reach your goals and focus on your future.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €5,449 to €7,396 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). By exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.

On top of your fixed salary, you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:

  • 40 vacation days (20 statutory days and a flexible budget worth 20 days).
  • Flexible working hours.
  • A hybrid workplace (40% working from home and 60% in the office).

  • Working from home allowance.
  • Collective pension scheme and discount on additional health insurance.
  • On-site company health centres with a gym, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
