About the Department

The Amsterdam Marketing Hub manages Coty Luxury’s full brand portfolio, including Fragrance, Skincare, and Make-up, across more than 30 markets. Through a combination of direct market operations and a network of local distributors, the In-Store Excellence Team ensures the execution of Coty’s brand strategies, commercial excellence, and strong in-store visibility across diverse retail environments. This department provides an exceptional opportunity to gain experience in in-store business management, brand portfolio leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple countries and stakeholders.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior In-Store Merchandising Manager (Full-Time, Maternity Cover – 8 months) to lead Coty’s in-store merchandising initiatives across multiple markets. You will report to the Trade Marketing Director and collaborate closely with DSRs, Retailers, and Sales teams to guarantee consistent and high-quality in-store implementation across multiple markets. You will connect commercial priorities with in-store execution, optimizing visibility, conversion, and productivity across doors. You will work with Brand Teams to translate strategies and design concepts into impactful, business-driven executions, and partner with Global Teams (Go-to-Market, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising) to ensure alignment, innovation, and a seamless omnichannel experience.

As a senior leader during this assignment, you will also manage and coordinate a team of merchandising managers, oversee multi-market initiatives, and ensure that every merchandising action supports sell-out growth and business performance. This is a strategic and highly visible position within Coty’s Amsterdam Marketing Hub, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how our brands are perceived and experienced in-store while directly contributing to commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for in-store merchandising across multiple markets, ensuring strong brand visibility, commercial excellence, and flawless execution.
  • Define and oversee the implementation of strategic in-store merchandising plans that drive sell-out, profitability, and long-term brand equity.
  • Partner with Sales and Brand Marketing to align marketing strategy and commercial priorities with in-store strategy, maximizing retail performance and customer engagement.
  • Shape retailer-specific merchandising strategies to strengthen partnerships, optimize space, and improve conversion.
  • Oversee and optimize merchandising budgets and supplier/vendor relationships ensuring strategic allocation of resources.
  • Monitor KPIs, execution standards, and ROI, turning insights into actionable improvements.
  • Provide updates and strategic guidance to the Director and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in merchandising, trade marketing, or retail operations, ideally within Beauty, Luxury, or FMCG.
  • Proven experience managing teams and cross-market projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail dynamics.
  • Experience managing budgets and working with suppliers/vendors.
