Working student positions

Do you want to gain experience working for a maritime contractor while still studying? Van Oord offers various opportunities for students. As a working student, you can broaden your expertise in your field alongside your studies. Besides expanding your network, you also gain relevant work experience.

As a working student, you work primarily at our offices in Rotterdam or Gorinchem, with availability of at least two days a week. These days are flexible, in consultation with your manager. We have exciting opportunities for both technical and business students, including positions in Finance, Strategy & Markets, Human Resources, Ship Management, or our Engineering & Estimating department. You’ll be supervised by a direct colleague or team manager.

As a global marine contractor, we always have interesting projects happening all over the world. Your internship could take place at locations spread across the globe or at our offices in the Netherlands. For graduation projects, you'll usually stay in the Netherlands. Of course, we take good care of you: think transportation, accommodation, meals, and even vaccinations if needed.
