Freelance Azure Cloud Engineer

Your Impact

• Lead and deliver the automation and integration of Entra ID tenants for environments serving thousands of users—enabling seamless collaboration while maintaining governance and compliance.
• Design, implement, and optimize Office 365 integrations, focusing on scalable, sustainable user management—think tenant provisioning, user lifecycle, groups, and permissions.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, etc.) so that user management can happen via self-service, not operational tickets.
• Build secure identity and access management integrations: multi-tenant environments, cross-organization trust, hybrid scenarios, and delegated administration models.
• Partner with internal teams and customer IT to ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding, scalable license assignment, and automated auditing/reporting.
• Drive security best practices, from conditional access and least privilege to secure user provisioning and monitoring.

What You Bring

• Proven experience managing and integrating Entra ID tenants and Office 365 for large enterprise (thousands of users).
• Deep automation skills (i.e. PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform) for identity and user management.
• Hands-on experience with Office 365 user lifecycle, group membership, permission delegation, and Exchange/Teams administration at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Azure RBAC, Policies, Secure Score, conditional access, and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with hybrid user environments, SSO/Federation, and delegated/cloud identity models.
• A security-first mindset and an ability to translate complex requirements into practical, secure, automated solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to partner with business, application, and infrastructure teams.

We are looking for someone starting as soon as possible. Worklocation will mainly be our office in 's-Hertogenbosch, combined with work at the customer site in Veghel.
