What will you do?

As a Risk Reporting Specialist in the Integrated Risk Reporting & Development team, you are the driver in continuously improving the risk reporting process and simultaneously contributing to key management reports. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s risk reporting framework and driving the development and integration of artificial intelligence solutions to enhance risk management processes. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), with a primary focus on ensuring robust risk oversight, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making through innovative technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the risk reporting framework to ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive risk insights for senior management, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop an automated risk reporting process and improve presentation of management information by using dashboarding solutions such as Power BI. Maintain and update the Key Risk Indicator (KRI) database.
  • Lead the development and deployment of AI and advanced analytics tools to identify emerging risks, enhance predictive modeling, and automate risk monitoring processes (Power BI/Python/Macro).
  • Ensure all risk reporting activities align with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. COREP, FINREP, BCBS 239, RDARR).
  • Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team of risk analysts, data analysts, and developers to foster innovation and excellence in risk management.
  • Work closely with risk, compliance, finance, IT, and business units to align risk reporting with the bank’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee data quality, integrity, and security initiatives related to risk data and tools/applications.
  • Monitor KRIs and trends for risk profile, and suggest technological advancements for best practices.
  • Play the oversight role on the risk reporting process, such as having a clear overview of the planning and managing the dependencies with Finance and Risk stakeholders.
  • Ensure that providers of risk reporting data adhere to the three lines of defense model and identify areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for Annual Reporting plan for Risk Departments.

Your qualities

You bring proven experience in Risk and/or Regulatory Reporting and the ability to write reports at varying detail and complexity.

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Data or a related field.
  • Working experience of 5-8 years, with demonstrable risk reporting experience in financial institutions.
  • Excellent dashboarding, writing and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Driving transformation and change with innovation.
  • Strong focus on stakeholder management and fostering relationships.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tooling (i.e. Power BI/Tableau).
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to quickly understand, analyze, and explain complex data.
  • Proactive, structured and accurate working style.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Dutch is also required.
