JOB PURPOSE

We're looking for a Client Finance Analyst to support our growing team in The Netherlands. This person will be able to provide client and commercial teams with strategic and financial support on client-related and new business initiatives. Is always up-to-date on client revenue and resourcing changes and potential impacts to the overall health of the business. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can manage a wide variety of responsibilities, from providing critical insights into client accounts to ensuring our internal operations run smoothly. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business and act as a true business partner, enabling management to make sound decisions and helping teams operate at their best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue recognition and Invoicing

  • Reviewing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation of WIP from Financial Control and working with Manager, Client Finance to chase missing PO’s, check and follow-up on overrun/underrun, overspend/underspend, margin on out of pocket costs, missing allocations and closure of projects.
  • Following up on missing PO’s, pending orderlines, closed underrun budgets and missing allocations with lead PM’s.
  • Raising all invoices to clients.
  • Check and approval of cross-sell invoices for intercompany transactions.
  • Supporting Manager, Client Finance in ensuring data accuracy across revenue trackers.
  • Assist on forecasting and monthly reporting, helping project managers track their numbers and reviewing with leadership.
  • Review & approve supplier invoices, media expenses and other client expenses.
  • Manage and track time entries, enforcing processes and checking on the “hygiene” of our internal admin systems.

Project Profitability

  • Review actual booked hours vs budgeted hours and challenge overrun.
  • Support Manager, Client Finance with project KPI tracking

Credit Control

  • Support Manager, Client Finance on the debtors list and oversee the chasing of outstanding invoices with clients
  • Support Manager, Client Finance with weekly updates on debtors list movements to Global Head of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control

Other Responsibilities

  • Support Manager, Client Finance in all aspects of the day to day invoicing operations of the business.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for project managers for support in project setup/hygiene.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 2+ years of experience in business control, FP&A, Client Finance, Operations Excellence.
  • Experience working in a service-oriented or professional services business.
  • A university degree in Finance, Business Control, Accounting, Business would be considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across various teams.
  • The willingness to take initiative and work independently, leading projects from start to finish.
  • Tech-savvy with excellent skills in Excel and Google Suite.
  • Experience with financial systems, particularly for budgeting and forecasting, is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI or big data models is advantageous.
  • Happy to work to tight deadlines and travel nationally and internationally as needed.
  • A strong interest in the practical applications of AI in a business context, with a proactive approach to embedding new technologies in your daily work
  • Experience using generative AI or other smart tools in a professional or personal capacity to increase productivity and solve problems is a plus.
